Ümloud! Rocks!
Co-founders Chris Kohler and Joe Markert kindly invited us to participate in Ümloud!, their annual Rock Band competition and fundraiser for Child’s Play, a charity for sick kids in hospitals. Chris and Joe are pretty amazing guys on their own, Chris created and runs the Game|Life blog on Wired.com, and Joe is the Chief Gaming Officer of Gamehelper, an worldwide IT infrastructure services provider. But together, they’ve created an extraordinary event, where game industry insiders and gamers can mingle, have fun rocking out to bands competing via Rock Band, and contribute to children in need all at the same time.
It was therefore a no-brainer to add copies of Tearing the Sky to the prizes given away at the event. I’ll be there cheering the bands on, I encourage you to attend too. Ümloud! takes place this Thursday, December 9, at 7pm at DNA Lounge in San Francisco.
